Kevin Kitrell Ross - Senior Minister/ Chief Executive Officer -

Kevin Ross wants to wake the world up to its purpose. He is on a mission to teach and inspire people practical principles to design and live the lives of their dreams!

HOW IT ALL STARTED!

Kevin K. Ross grew up on the Southside of Chicago in a three-flat brownstone building with his father, mother, two younger brothers, and his Grandmama and Grandpapa. While his family was short on money, they were always loaded with love! Since his early childhood,he has been on a mission to teach people to design and live their boldest dreams ever since.

Growing up with a gift for gab, Kevin Ross was spotted by the legendary Dr. Johnnie Colemon of Chicago, Illinois who gave him opportunities as a young boy to speak in church. Through a youth program, lead by internationally renown motivational speaker, Les Brown, Kevin gained a new friend and life-long mentor and decided that he would also use his young life to be a positive example for youth across the country. Ross enrolled his life long friend, David E. Montgomery to form the dynamic tag-team speaking duo called, "The Brothers of Thunder!" The two criss-crossed the coutry and traveled internationally speaking on college and university campuses, churches, and international conferences motivating youth and those that worked on their behalf, to stay in school, stay off drugs, practice safe-sex, and strive to achieve their boldest dreams.

Kevin was such an over-achiever in his youth that the news media came to follow him around his high school to find out his secrets for success. He graduated as both the Student Representative to the Local School Council and the Senior Class Present and this was just the beginning for him.

Growing up, Kevin modeled after his life-long hero and mentor, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He wanted to be just like him and his first step would be to attend and graduate from Dr. King's undergraduate alma mater, Morehouse College, in Atlanta, Georgia. A long way from home, and a high price to pay, Kevin applied to only one school got accepted, and enrolled his mentor to give him the first semester tuition. On his own, he worked his way through Morehouse and was the first male to graduate from college on either side of his family. Since that day, Kevin continues to believe that nothing is impossible, when you believe!

HIS MENTORS

He continued to develop his speaking career througout college and has been mentored by some of the very best. Les Brown, Mark Victor Hansen, Rev. Ike, Victor Gonzales, Jack Canfield, Iyanla Vanzant, Michael Beckwith, Johnnie Colemon and Dr. Barbara King are all powerful influences who have made deposits into Kevin's career.

"Aside from bragging rights, who I know and what I have studies is of little or no value. I mention it only because study has given me a foundation in principle and association has given me a broad prospective of the conscience that propels this movement. A solid foundation in principle and a strong sense of direction coupled with my passion to see Unity Southeast be all it can be gives me a very unique vantage point from which to serve the growth and the development of Unity Southeast Church."
