My new understanding of prosperity is not so new, although it is constantly evolving. My introduction to new thought prosperity has its genesis in the text of Catherine Ponder, Open Your Mind to Prosperity and the Millionaires of Genesis; read so long ago as to seem very elementary at this point in time. Since that time I have been steeped in a multitude of prosperity authors within and without of the Unity movement. While their stories are different the concepts remain much the same. With the passing of time these concepts lost their novelty for me as I lost my enthusiasm of them! These old hat concepts had stopped the material demonstrations in my life as I lost my enthusiasm for them.
During this period my evolving understanding of prosperity was, for the most part, limited to financial affairs. Occasional demonstrations of non financial tangibles would often amaze me as much as it would amaze those around me. Mile stones achieved were the elimination of the false premise that my source of financial stability was anything other than God. I stopped living from pay check to pay check and was generally able to have what I want when I wanted it, financially.
As I grow and develop spiritually I have come to regard prosperity from a holistic prospective. That is prosperity as health, happiness, wholeness, and completeness. Prosperity has become so much more than financial well being. Prosperity is the very barometer for the quality of all of live. My experience of prosperity has grown beyond the physical, beyond the tangible; it has entered a spiritual realm. The abundance of God has permeated all of my life and all of my affairs. As God’s abundance is infinite so is that abundance manifest in all of my physical, material, and spiritual needs. Prosperity is indeed the manifestation of Gods’ presence in my life.

PROSPERITY JOURNEY
January 2008
Prosperity to me is: to have enough and some to share with others. To have enough means I need to know what I want out of life (desires and dreams) and to understand that I have to work (thrive) using God’s given talents I already have to achieve these desires. To work means I have to plan and work my plan with discipline both mentally and physically day in and day out. To be discipline means I have to stay focused on my desires (goals) so that my work and efforts help me move in the same direction of my desires (goals or dreams). To maintain daily discipline I would need to plan my tomorrows the night before thoughtfully. To maintain discipline and focus in my business and personal affairs I need to list in my daily plan things I need to do for my business and for my personal life and to allocate time for each. I would need to move through my day with a sense of purpose and urgency.
In pursuing my purpose (desires, dreams, goals) I would need to not cause pain to myself or others be it mental, physical, verbal, emotional or spiritual. This is so that I remain whole in my mind, body and spirit.
Above all of these things I need to be disciplined in my prayer life – so that I can voice my concerns to God, meditate and hang out with God. I would need to do this first thing in the morning before anything else and another time throughout the day.
I think if I do the foregoing with discipline I would be able to realize the inner gifts that I have. Those gifts will manifest themselves as love, peace, joy, accomplishments, sense of well-being, no worries etc. I would have learned how to balance my life with God, my family and my business and my relationships with my customers and those whom I meet. I would have enough and I would have no debts and worries because I am working out of God’s abundant resources and not from limited mindset.

Donna and Greg Pouliot sent me to your website so I could see some old familiar faces from Chicago in the Power Circle Chorale and their members. It was also an added treat to view all the things that occur at Unity Southeast too. I really like your website, it's very sophisticated and informative. One day I'll have to come and worship with you and enjoy the camraderie first hand.
Donna and Greg sent me!!! Wonderful website - always a delight in seeing new photos of our dear friends. We certainly miss them here at Unity By the Bay - North Bend Oregon. Your website is great and sounds like you have a dynamic minister.
Brightest Blessings,
Patricia
